Davido: Officially, I’ve been putting out records since I was 18, that was like 5 years ago. Before then, I was actually engineering (producing) since I was like 11. I got my Mac Book, learned Logic that was my first software, because I was schooling out there in Alabama. So I had these Jamaican friends that used to record.

So I’d record them, mix the track, make sure everything sounds A1, and I’d give them ideas. So one day they were like, ‘Yo D, you give us so much ideas, why don’t you try it yourself. I remember I was like 15, and we were trying to do a demo for Konvict then. So I just got on, did the hook, I came out of the booth and everybody was looking at me like, it’s huge, common, you gotta do it yourself. I bought my own equipment, and began my own. I was recording every day at home. This was a long time, I haven’t been home in about three years, I was in college in America.

Davido: First I went to Tennessee, then I went to Alabama, I didn’t get kicked out for being bad, I got kicked out because of my grades. I was focused on music. So I transferred to HBCU in Alabama, and that was where I found my music life. I learned everything. There was a music school there, and everybody was just about music. Actually, it was a Christian school, it was just Gospel Music. There was this dude called J. Mo, he came to me to mix his first record. I remember he had a space on his record. I did the demo for him to record it himself, and then he just released it with my voice on it.

So it was like ‘featuring Davido’. That was the first time I saw something like ‘featuring Davido’. So I was like, it sounds kinda good. This was 2010 when I went home. I saw Don Jazzy, Tiwa (Savage) was out. I was just looking at all these like ‘These dudes are making money". I went there for Christmas and it was lit. It was crazy. I was hanging out with D’banj at the time, he had that Kanye deal. I now told my Dad that I was trying to stay, and he was like ‘What? My friend you better go back to school". I called my roommate, and told him "Imma do this no more. Davido: When I left, my family was looking for me for like 6 months. They sent letter to D’banj house, they sent letter to Psquare house, they sent letters to everybody’s house.

My Dad was calling school, and they were telling him; ‘He wasn’t even here for the past semester, he left.." It was like the whole Nigeria knew who I was before I even dropped a single. Kamal that is my manager now, used to be Don Jazzy’s assistant. The first record I put out first was ‘Back When’.bet9ja.com I was in London at the time, I dropped this record, I went home, and they were like ‘Yo, come on, it’s time. D’banj, Wande Coal and everybody was telling me that your record was good. I was 16, so I was the youngest at the time.

I went back home fresh from America. I go into the club that night, and they were playing my song, I went crazy. Davido: The "Baddest" album was been done, I had a release date already. ‘Fans mi’ was out, the project was about to drop. When I did that song with Meek, he was the hottest rapper at the time. After I dropped that record, it showed me that planning was very important. You can drop music, you can put music out, but at the end of the day, I’m trying to take my African music around the world. So if I know that I’mma drop something and it is just gonna be good in Africa, if I got to wait, I’ll wait. I have just been blessed to have sold out shows in London, all over the world.

In New York, 6000 people showed up for a 1000 capacity venue. Then the police shut it down. I haven’t done a show (in New York) since then. Davido: I don’t even call my music Afrobeat, I call mine Afrofusion. To me it’s just too different.tinyurl.com I can’t tell you it’s Afrobeat, because it’s not. "You know the originator of the Afrobeats is Fela. ] the percussion is different. If you ask me ‘Gobe’ is Calypso, Afro mixed with Calypso. But I feel like the Afrobeats is catchy and has caught wave since time. Because I know some Afrobeats songs that I don’t want to call Afrobeats.

I call them Afro-Pop or I call Afro Trap. Everything is just still African music. I’m kinda doing my thing; like just recording. Last year I was more of "I gotta this person on my track, I gotta get that person on my track". Especially since that Meek Mill record, it ‘do you’, everything gonna come’. I remember I was trying to get in the studio with (Young) Thug, one of my boys from Atlanta hooked us up. So after a while, I was just like, let me just let it go. Then two weeks ago, I was chilling, I just get a text saying ‘Yo, where you at? ’, and it’s Thug. And he’s like ‘Come to the studio’, he was like three tracks, and it was done. We did one for his stuff, and two for mine.

You’ve heard their songs, and perhaps one of them is your favorite. Davido and Wizkid are probably the Biggest music artistes below the Age of 25 in Nigeria now.The constant argument amidst fans about who is better has sparked a lot of controversies on Blogs, threads and forums. I cannot categorically tell which one of them is better but i Will like to just state this few Things. Davido and Wizkid are both extremely talented and gifted in the art of Music making. We are not even sure whether skelewu was not stolen as the dance step was stolen from dammy krane gbetiti dance . Till date, Nobody has accused Wizkid of stealing their songs, from his Azonto,to On top your Matter, Bombay ,One question etc, everything is purely Wizkid hard working mind that writes and supplys us good and not stolen Music.. Most People accuse Wizkid of being Pompous.

Yes he might be but Davido is certainly more pompous than WizKid. He labelled himself OBO,sang about his fathers wealth all the time, dealt with a taxi driver, fought an immigration officer and went bazzukas when his name was not included in The Forbes top ten richest artistes in Nigeria. When wizkid won BET, the guy celebrate small, see Davido day happy like say na World cup. Yes wizkid is human, calling a fan broke may be harsh but we know some Nigerians are fools and can say silly things at times.. How many Times, Davido didn’t throw money at the crowd Eh? And he like his fans right? Wizkid wants the progress of others. He signed Lax and immediately featured him on the smash Hit Caro and also ensured a high class video For his smash Hit "Ginger "…he signed Maleek berry,dr frabz and Legendary beats..

Look at Davido HKN,B red.danagog, deekay, sina rambo careers are all sloping down the Lane.He hardly gives proper promotion to their songs, low cost videos and he feeds them with rejected shizzi Beats. Wizkid made it on his own.Funded and supported by Banky W while Davido sat down and ate off his Father’s wealth and scandals to promote himself and his songs. Someone said Wizkid is monotous? You and I know that Wizkid’s music touches a wide range of Topics, Is it Spiritual ( Hear Oluwaloni ,eledumare, thank you), inspirational ( Joy,oluwaloni),old school( one question, jaye jaye ) ,many love songs and Party jams. You know that , you don’t have to even argue about this one. It’s a known fact. Am not saying, the dude is not handsome, but someone will certainly be more than you. Wizkid is far handsome than Davido, you can chuckle for all i care. Wizkid is better than Davido, Period! Have you got any objections? Comment them below and we will put it in our next post. Do you also want to compare any two artistes in Ghana or Nigeria?

Anytime Davido says he’s an OBO, he means he’s an "Omo Baba Olowo" which is translated in English as "The Son of a Wealthy Man". It definitely raises the question: Who is Davido’s father that he hypes him so much? And just how rich could this man be for the song that brought Davido to limelight to still be about him? " Well, let’s climb Davido’s family tree just a little higher to his father. Dr Deji Adeleke, also called Elder Deji Adeleke was born on March 6, 1957 in Enugu. He’s a Yoruba man from Ede in Osun State; a state in the South-western part of Nigeria. He’s a father, a prolific businessman, and an investor.

The Adeleke family has always been a family of millionaires and a few billionaires; no wonder Dr Deji Adeleke is one of the most successful businessmen in Nigeria. His own father was Chief Adebayo Adeleke, who was the brain behind the prestigious Banana Island in Lagos. He created the plan with the aim of "making Nigeria proud" and truly, the reality of his dream hasn’t fallen overly far short off the path as a spectacle for both local and foreign Real Estate Investors.

Years before Davido‘s girlfriend, Chioma Aril Rowland became the diva she is today, check out her throwback photos. Chioma was the reason Davido’s babymama, Sophie Momodu deleted her Instagram page today. Chioma succeeded in stealing Davido’s heart and a whole nation, Africa’s largest at that, can’t stop talking about her. Earlier on today, Davido’s Chioma rejected a whooping N60million endorsement deal. According to Davido, who shared the news that got his woman buzzing yet again today, he had gotten an endorsement offer worth N60 million for Chioma. However, he turned it down and asked the people making the offer to increase it to N100million and that only then can Chioma consider it.

Nigerian ladies on Twitter who saw the tweet went wild with many of them wishing they were Davido’s girlfriend. One of them began by asking Davido to make her Chioma number 2. Soon others also began to take numbers. Read here if you missed the gist. Another Chioma drama happened today when a troll who believes Chioma is Davido for material reasons slipped in her comment section and said she will have a painful marriage with Davido. " Is funny how so many people including my self some what are happy for her but. This is nothing but the sad story of a little young woman that has no self worth or respect. She would have a very painful life if not marriage. Don’t wish that life for nobody.

The male fan who Davido gave one million naira earlier this year has purchased a Keke Napep to start a transport business. Recall that on the 27th of December during Davido’s concert in Lagos, the singer promised the fan the huge sum of money for his efforts in protecting girls from being harassed at the event. At some point, the male fan went viral after he took to Instagram to call out Davido who had instructed him to call his personal assistant, Lati, to redeem his cash but was unable to reach him. The cash was later delivered to the fan and he has bought himself a brand new Keke Napep to start a transport business. Gbe maruwa eh I think say him go spend d money finish !
